Trippin’ with the RTS

Okay, so this site has been on my mind a long time. I had a blog years ago, tried to resurrect it during Covid-times, and then fell away once things got back to normal.
But there is so much I want to share! You are not required to engage, but I would love it if you did!
I’ve already posted several posts from the old blog, and my plan is to share … stuff - the stuff that engages me, fascinates me, delights me, annoys me - from media and restaurant reviews to travel advice and beyond.
Most importantly - and this is really the thing that has been in the back of my mind since I left the classroom back in 2020 - I want to share poetry with the world. (Not my own poetry - that stopped when I was in high school, though I did win an award once.) The feature called “Poetry 101” will be updated regularly. For the first course, I plan to take you through the poetry that I taught to my students in AP Literature - a chronological consideration of mostly British poetry from the 16th century to the present. You can treat as a class (let me know if you want some quizzes!) or you can just enjoy the poetry, some of which may evoke memories of your own and some of which might be entirely new experiences for you to enjoy.
Thanks for stopping by!
